Mr Amrendra Prasad Verma brings decades of experience in the banking sector and has embarked on his career in 1975. Throughout his career with the State Bank of India (SBI), he held several Senior Executive positions including Business Head of the Corporate Banking Group, General Manager- International Banking Division, and Chief Credit & Risk Officer. From 2005-2009, Mr. Verma served as Managing Director & CEO of SBI Capital Markets Limited, the bank's investment banking arm. He also held the position of Deputy Managing Director & Group Executive of Mid Corporate Group of SBI from 2009-2010. Mr. Amrendra Prasad Verma retired in December 2011 as Deputy Managing Director and Chief Credit & Risk Officer of the bank, where he was in overall charge of the bank's risk management function, and continued as an advisor to SBI until June 2012.
