Mr. Pradip Kumar Khaitan, aged 69 years, is the Chairman of our Company and has been a director of our Company since 1972. He is a B.Com, LL.B and Attorney-at-Law (Gold Medalist) and has experience in the fields of commercial and corporate law, tax law, arbitration, foreign collaborations, mergers & acquisitions, restructuring and de-mergers. He is a member of the Bar Council of India, the Bar Council of West Bengal and the Indian Council of Arbitration. He is a senior most partner of Khaitan & Co., Advocates & Solicitors firm. He is also on the board of various companies including CESC Limited, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, Emaar MGF Land Limited, India Glycols Limited, Suzlon Energy Limited etc.

Mr. Binod Khaitan, aged 66 years, he is a qualified B.Com., M.B.A. (Geneva), a retired businessman with wide experience in industries such as plywood, tea, jute, tyre, tube etc. Presently he is associated with various charitable and social organisations like Rotary Club, Vivekanand Kendra etc. He has been on the Board of our Company as a non-executive director since 1975.

Mr. Naresh Chandra, IAS (Retired), aged 76 years, is a non-executive director of our Company. He is a qualified M.Sc (Mathematics) and has held senior posts in the Indian Civil Service. He was the advisor to the Governor of the States of Jammu & Kashmir from 1986 to 1989, cabinet secretary to the Indian Government from 1990 to 1992, senior advisor to the Prime Minister of India from 1992 to 1995, Governor of the State of Gujarat from 1995 to 1996, and India's ambassador to the United States from 1996 to 2001. After he retired from the civil service he was appointed by the Indian Government to chair a committee on corporate governance. Mr. Chandra holds directorships in many companies including Vedanta Resources plc, London, Bajaj Auto Limited, ACC Limited, Cairn India Ltd etc.

Dr. Jamshed Jiji Irani, aged 73 years, is a non-executive director of our Company. He has held senior positions in various companies, including the post of managing director of Tata Iron and Steel Co Ltd. Dr. Irani is a Fellow of the Institute of Metals, Institution of Engineers, All India Management Association, Institute of Standards Engineers, Indian Academy of Sciences and Institution of Industrial Managers and currently holds directorships in many companies including Tata Steels Limited, Tata Motors Limited, Tata Sons Limited, Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited, Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited etc.

Mr. Umang Kejriwal, aged 57 years, is the Managing Director of Electrosteel Castings Ltd. A visionary who has shown the path to create a long standing foot print in Ductile Iron spun pipe manufacturing space worldwide. Mr Kejriwal Started his journey in the company as Executive Director in the year 1972. He played a pivotal role in accelerating our business performance and helped Electrosteel a big leap growth competing with international players. His value sense helped company to form a very committed team of professionals and consistent inspiration has taken the company on the sustained growth path over the years. In 1981 he took over as Managing Director. Till date he is the key role player to take Electrosteel to the next level.

Mr. Mayank Kejriwal, aged 55 years, is a Joint Managing Director of our Company. From 1972 to 1977 he was engaged in the sale of our Company's products as a director and executive director of Electrocast Sales India Ltd. He was appointed as an executive director of our Company in 1977 and was promoted as deputy managing director in the same year. In 1981, he was appointed as joint managing director of our Company. Mr. Kejriwal has 35 years' experience in the Pipe manufacturing industry.

Mr. Uddhav Kejriwal, aged 31 years, is a Whole Time Director of our Company. After joining in 2003, he has made a major contribution for the creation of our Haldia facility having 2.95 Lakhs TPA coke making capacity, 60,000 MT sponge Iron capacity and 12 MW Power Plant. He oversees all financial affairs and commercial issues pertaining to the business of our Company.

Mr. Vyas Mitre Ralli, aged 64 years, is a Whole Time Director of our Company. He is a qualified B.Tech (Hons.) in Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Engineering, Kharagpur. He joined our Company in April 1972 and currently is in-charge of Plants at Khardah and Haldia. He also oversees all the production and development at LIL. He has been appointed as a Whole Time Director on 21 December 2009.

Mr S.Y. Rajagopalan, aged 75 years, is a Chartered Accountant & Company Secretary by profession. He worked as the Wholetime Director of the Company since 25 November 1988 and retired on 9 August 2007. He has extensive experience in corporate and related laws and finance affairs.

Mr. M B N Rao, aged 61 years, former Chairman & Managing Director of Canara Bank, has over 38 years of experience in Banking & Finance in India and abroad. He also held position of Chairman of The Indian Banks’ Association, chairman of various companies engaged in Banking, Insurance, Mutual Funds, and Merchant Banking. He is a Graduate in Agriculture, Fellow of The Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, Associate of The Chartered Institute of Banking London and holds Diplomas in Computer Studies from Cambridge and National Computing Centre London.

Mr. Mahendra Kumar Jalan, aged 57 years, joined the Company as Commercial Manager in 1981. In 1993, he was given the responsibility of setting up the Export Department for export of DI pipes. After achieving this objective, he was given additional responsibility of looking after domestic Sales and Marketing in 2003. He became the Wholetime Director of the Company on 22 January 2010. Currently Mr. Jalan looks after Company’s marketing strategies.

Mr. Rama Shankar Singh, aged 62, is a Wholetime Director of our Company. He has held senior posts in TATA Steel. He received a B- Tech degree in Mining Engineering from the Indian School of Mines, in July, 1969. He is a registered member of professional Societies/ Institution in IMMA and MMGI. He is having over 42 years experience in the planning, design, procurement and construction of Mines projects and also in the operation and maintenance of Mines, Road, water supply and buildings.
